1990s

Automatic transmission production for the all-new V-6 engine begins.

1990s

2000s

The Technical Center opened with the theme ‘Facility Innovation,’ incorporating green technologies in its design and construction.

Gear mass production started for the first time in North America.

4WD assembly and forging begins mass production.

2000s

2010s

Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVTs) for the Accord begins production for the first time in North America.

Plant expanded to produce high-pressure die cast, CVT assembly, and aluminum machining.

CVT production for the CR-V started.

The plant also became the first Honda site globally to have wind turbines, with the two turbines’ combined output targeting 10% of the plant’s electrical consumption.

Two-motor hybrid power unit production began.

Co-axial transfer production started.

The plant became the first Honda manufacturing facility to add electric vehicle charging stations.
