The Honda of America Racing Team (HART) is a volunteer activity welcoming Honda associates from all backgrounds to enhance their skillsets in the intense, high-speed world of racing. Associates can drive, design, build, fix, promote and support in countless ways, all toward HART’s overall goal: accelerating the next generation of Honda leaders.

In putting Honda technology through the most extreme scenario — racing — HART associate volunteers can put their skills to the ultimate test and learn new skills alongside diverse team members in the craziest environments — from the depths of the dunes to the pinnacle of a peak.

Our Alabama HART associates compete in the challenging SRO race series and share their passion for racing at GRIDLIFE events all throughout the east coast of the United States.

Since 1996, HART autocross (AutoX) associates have been gaining car control skills and chasing their passions for competition in the challenging Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Solo National & Optima Drive AutoX series.

HART associates at Honda’s Indiana Auto Plant compete in regional Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) AutoX events and local karting races. HART’s Indiana squad is new, eager to learn, and ready for any challenge.

Rally tackles America's fastest gravel roads in the American Rally Association, showcasing the strong reliability of Honda’s products and associates. Experiences for HART associates include:

The first women's off-road navigation rally raid in the United States, called Rebelle Rally, includes associates from HART. Every year, HART develops our members and expands their insight into the capability of Honda vehicles, off-roading, and general vehicle knowledge, for both the Rebelle Rally drivers and their support team.

Since 2011, HART associates have competed at the prestigious Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This grueling event invites our associates to test their skills not only on a mountain but also challenge their capability to dream new technology because of what the climb itself requires.

HART’s karting associates have competed in both sprint races on kart tracks and road races on tracks such as Mid Ohio Sports Car Course and Pitt Race. This team focuses on the racing basics, from wrenching, tuning and prepping, to performance driving dynamics and the racing itself.

With 8 racetracks, 3,000-plus miles, and more than 10 states, HART associates who participate in One Lap of America have seen it all. A week-long competition where each day brings a time trial, AutoX, skidpad, or drag race to showcase our latest products. Experiences for HART associates include:

HART’s Crazy New associates generate ideas that are just that: crazy new! Crazy New allows our associates the chance to cook up new ideas for vehicle concepts and bring them to reality to be raced and driven.

HART’s drift associates have competed for more than 15 years, taking on unique challenges in the sport of drifting. Now starting to investigate the next platforms to slide into Honda’s future, the HART drift team is evaluating Honda’s current lineup for gymkhana-style drifting. In addition, these associates have a lightly modified Honda S2000 they use for driver training and local drifting events.
